In the event the Sweepstakes is, in the opinion of the Sponsor and/or Presenting Promoter(s), compromised by viruses, bugs, non-authorized human intervention or other causes beyond the control of Sponsor and/or Presenting Promoter which corrupt or impair its administration, security, fairness or proper play of the Sweepstakes, Sponsor and/or Presenting Promoter(s) reserves the right in its sole discretion to suspend, modify or terminate the Sweepstakes from point of impairment, and select the winners from among all eligible entries received prior to termination. Sponsor and its parent company, affiliates, subsidiaries, agents and advisers and the employees, officers, directors, shareholders, agents, and representatives of each are not responsible for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation of transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries. Sponsor and its parent company, affiliates, subsidiaries, agents and advisers and the employees, officers, directors, shareholders, agents, and representatives of each are not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software or failure of email on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or any web-site or combination thereof, or for any injury or damage to participant’s or to any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participating or downloading materials in this Sweepstakes.
Sponsor may prohibit an entrant from participating in the Sweepstakes or winning a prize if, in its sole discretion, it determines that said entrant is attempting to undermine the legitimate operation of the Sweepstakes by cheating, hacking, deception, or other unfair playing practices (including the use of automated quick entry programs) or intending to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other entrants or Sponsor’s representatives.
LEGAL WARNING: Any attempt to deliberately damage any on-line entry or web site or to undermine the legitimate operations of the Sweepstakes is a violation of criminal & civil laws. Should such an attempt be made, Sponsor and/or Presenting Promoter(s) reserves the right to disqualify such entrant & seek damages from any such person to the fullest extent of the law.

” The Jewish Raffle”Sweepstakes begins 10/1/09; ends *10/13/10 (End date Subject to change without notice). Entry must be received by date specified elsewhere in offer or by prize deadline(s) below, whichever is sooner. This Sweepstakes may be presented in different creative presentations by different organizations (“Presenting Promoters”).
1. HOW TO ENTER
Submit your Ticket between 10/1/09; ends *10/13/10 according to the instructions that you receive. Indicate your choice of the donation options set forth below and your choice of payment method.
a. Donation Option:
(i) $100 (1) entry ticket each in Grand,First, and Second Prize Drawings.
(ii) $180 (2) entry tickets each in Grand, First, and Second Prize Drawings.
(iii) $250 (3) entry tickets each in the Grand, First, and Second Prize Drawings.
b. To Enter Without Making a Donation:
Handprint your name, address, day/evening phone number, email address (if available) on a 3”x5” card and send to: Joint Fundraising Raffle, 1 Cedar Avenue, Lawrence, NY 11559. Indicate one option from (i)-(v) above on the front of your envelope to indicate the drawings you wish to enter. Your entry must be postmarked by 10/1/10 and received by *10/13/10. Limit one donation entry or one mail-in entry per person.
2. ELIGIBILITY
The Sweepstakes is open to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia, Israel and Canada who have reached the age of majority in the jurisdiction in which they reside. Sweepstakes is void where prohibited by law.
3. SELECTION OF WINNERS
Winners will be selected on or about *10/13/10 (Date Subject to change without notice) in a random drawing from among all eligible entries received. The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. Approximately 150,000 mail pieces will be distributed. A maximum of 149,999 entries will be accepted as measured by the number of entries attributed to each ticket and each mail in submission received by Sponsor. Decisions of the judges are final. Winners will be notified by email, phone or regular mail, in the sole discretion of the Sponsor. If a potential winner fails to respond after two notices, his/her prize may be forfeited and an alternate winner may be selected.
PRIZES
One (1) Grand Prize: Winner will receive $25,000 in the form of a check. (Approximately Retail Value (“ARV”): (ARV-$25,000).
One (1) First Prize: Winner will receive 2 airplane tickets to Israel or $3,000 in the form of a check, (Approximately Retail Value (“ARV”): (ARV-$3,000) (ARV- $3,000 maximum value) whichever is cheaper.
(1) Second Prize: Winner will receive a Caribbean Cruise for two or $750 (Approximately Retail Value (“ARV”): (ARV-$750), whichever is cheaper. Total approximate retail value of all prizes to be awarded: $28,750 maximum value. All prize values are in US currency.
Except as set forth above, prizes may not be substituted or transferred, except by Sponsor in its sole discretion. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value. Grand and First Prize winners will receive a 1099 reflecting the value of their respective prizes. Sponsor will withhold 30% of winnings from any Canada or Israel winner according to U.S. Internal Revenue Service requirements. U.S. residents are responsible for paying all applicable taxes.
4. CONSUMER DISCLOSURES:
No purchase necessary. You have not yet won. Value of Grand, First and Second Prizes are $25,000, $3,000 and $750, respectively. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. Approximately 150,000 mail pieces will be distributed. 5. CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION
Grand and First Prize winners may be required to sign and return an Affidavit/Declaration of Eligibility and a Liability and Publicity Release (where legal) within fourteen (14) days of notification. Non-compliance with these requirements may result in disqualification and an alternate winner selected at random. In the event that a prize or prize notification is returned as undeliverable, such prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner selected at random.
By participating, entrants release and agree to hold Sponsor and Presenting Promoters harmless from any liability for any injuries, losses or damages of any kind resulting from acceptance, possession or use/misuse of any prize or participation in the Sweepstakes.
Except where prohibited by law, each winner agrees that Sponsor and Presenting Promoters may use the winner’s name, address (city, state/province), photograph, videotape, likeness, and/or prize information for advertising, publicity and promotional purposes without further notice and/or compensation.
6. ERRORS
Sponsor and Presenting Promoters are not responsible for electronic, technical or mechanical malfunctions of any sort, for any late, lost or mishandled entries, or for any typographical errors in the advertising of the Sweepstakes. Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to cancel/suspend/modify the Sweepstakes if it becomes corrupted in any manner such that it cannot be conducted as originally planned and, in such event, to select winners by random drawing from all eligible entries received prior to the action taken by Sponsor.
7. DISPUTES/CHOICE OF LAW
Each entrant agrees that this Sweepstakes shall be governed by the laws of the State of Florida and: (1) any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Sweepstakes or any prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by state or federal courts situated in Florida (2) any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, but in no event attorneys' fees; and (3) no punitive, incidental, special, consequential or other damages, may be awarded (collectively, "Special Damages"), and (4) entrant hereby waives all rights to claim Special Damages and all rights to have such damages multiplied or increased.
