I am well acquainted with Rabbi A.Y. Weinberg, the son of my close friend, the late Gaon the late Rabbi Mordechai Weinberg. During his years in ncsy he displayed outstanding talents and a distinguished record in the field of Keruv. His present endeavor, Project Extreme, has achieved remarkable success in rehabilitating children at risk.
All who help Rabbi Weinberg become partners in one of the most vital projects of our time.

Many of our children are unfortunately slipping away from Torah and Mitzvos and often are involved with the worst elements and poisons of society. We need to be Matzil these Neshamahs and Camp Extreme, under the leadership of Rabbi A.Y. Weinberg has undertaken this worthwhile endeavor helping these children rediscover their Yiddishkeit and bring them back to Chayim. Through the Ruach, right environment, Hashkafah discussions and thrilling and fun experiences these children are able to turn the corner and start over.
I urge anyone and everyone who is able to assist in this Meleches Hakodesh to do what they can for Acheinu Kol Bais Yisroel.

Summer camps are one of the most effective means of chinuch. A more
relaxed environment enables young adults to open their minds and
hearts, thus allowing the influence of their mentors to settle in.
This is particularly of the utmost benefit for our so-called "children
at risk."
It is therefore, wonderful to see a summer program designed especially for these children. This undertaking presently of directing "Camp Extreme" will be a major factor in bringing many of our youth back on the path.
