Miryam’s House, now in its seventh year, is a transitional living shelter for young women. Located in Brooklyn, NY., the program was established as an extension of Project Extreme and as an opportunity for young women 18 years and older to have a safe place to live. Miryam’s House offers a safe and growth oriented home for those seeking additional encouragement, life skills support, and healthy communication skills.

Miryam's House is a 5 bedroom, 3 bathroom private home with a basement, located in a residential area of Brooklyn close to major transportation and shopping. Residents are provided with transitional and therapeutic services to help them create a plan for their futures and take the first steps necessary to begin their adult lives.

In addition to holding a full time schedule of work, school, or a combination of both, residents are required to participate in weekly volunteer opportunities, engage in spiritual learning initiatives, complete assigned chores, and meet with a therapist weekly. Residents receive daily life skills support and assistance in meeting daily, weekly, and monthly goals. Group activities, medication observation & support, education & career counseling, and Shabbat Community meals are provided as well.
